About Us: Your Trusted Guide to 2026 American Summer Camps
Our Story: Built by Camp Experts!
Best American Summer Camps was founded by Jan, Matthew, and Peter, three seasoned professionals who have worked as camp counselors, directors, and owners.
With over 45 years of combined experience, we believe summer camp should be more than just a break from school. It should be an unforgettable experience where children can grow, explore, and thrive. For more than a decade, we have assisted thousands of families in navigating the complex world of summer programming.
We didn’t just create a directory; we built a community based on our firsthand knowledge of what makes a camp truly exceptional.
